A warm, symbolic look at your child's chart, not a diagnosis, not a prediction, not a report card. Read it the way you'd read a thoughtful letter about a child you love: something to notice, not something to decide for them.
What this is, and what it isn't. This report is calculated from your child's birth details using the same published astronomical methods as our adult reports, checked against independent reference software. The written pages are a warm, symbolic way to think about your child's temperament today, not a statement of fact about your child's health, development, or future. This is not a psychological or medical assessment of your child, it does not diagnose anything, and it does not predict what your child will be good at or who your child will become. If you have a real question about your child's health or development, please talk to your pediatrician or another qualified professional.
A report built from your child's own chart, written the way you'd want a thoughtful letter about your child written: to you, the parent, not to them. It looks at temperament, how your child tends to take in the world, their rhythm around rest and sleep, how to praise and encourage them so it lands, and what to notice at school, and closes with what all of this does and does not mean. Give it at a birth, a christening, or any time you want to put something warm and specific into words.
What the report looks like

What's inside: 9 sections, 17 to 19 pages
- How to Read This Report (1 page). Sets the frame before anything else: this is a symbolic lens for you, not a diagnosis, not a test, not a claim about who your child will become.
- Temperament (3 pages). Sun and Moon together: the core of your child's outward style and inner rhythm, in plain, everyday language.
- How Your Child Sees the World (3 pages). Mercury (how they tend to think and communicate) and Venus (what tends to draw their attention and affection), each described as a tendency, never a fact. With a birth time it also covers the Rising sign: how your child tends to walk into a room full of people they have not met. In your report, this section is titled with your child's own name.
- Rhythm and Sleep (2 pages). How your child tends to move between activity and rest, and what settling down at the end of the day tends to need: the strongest cross (modality) in their chart and their Moon sign. If you know the birth time, the Moon's house adds a note on where their mood recharges.
- How to Support and How to Praise (2 pages). A practical section: the kind of praise that tends to land for this Sun, the praise that tends to fall flat, and concrete things to say, not just what a placement means.
- Attention and School (2 pages). Mercury again, this time for how attention and homework tend to go, alongside Saturn for structure, limits and sticking with something. Nothing here ranks your child against classmates.
- As Your Child Grows (2 pages). What tends to stay steady in a temperament and what usually softens or changes with age: something to notice again in a year or two, not a forecast.
- What This Means for You (1 page). Not about your child: about you. How to use the report, and what not to do with it, such as showing it to your child as a label or using it in place of a teacher or a pediatrician.
- Closing and Disclaimer (2 pages). A warm close, followed by the full disclaimer: this is not a psychological or medical assessment of your child.
Page counts vary a little from chart to chart, and are a little shorter without a birth time.
What you need to enter
- Your child's name, as it should appear on the cover.
- Your child's date of birth (1900 or later).
- Your child's time of birth, if you know it.
- Your child's place of birth, chosen from a list so we get the right coordinates and time zone.
- Your email address, entered twice, because that is where the report goes.
No birth time? Tick "I don't know the birth time". Without a birth time we cannot calculate houses, so the Moon's house note in "Rhythm and Sleep" is left out and the report is a little shorter. The cover never prints an exact birth time or a Big Three line, even when the time is known: this report never turns your child into a label. If you find the birth time later, send it to us within 30 days of purchase and we rebuild the report free of charge.
How we calculate
Planet positions come from the same astronomy-engine ephemeris as our adult reports, checked against Swiss Ephemeris at 2,000 moments between 1920 and 2030: the largest difference for any planet was 0.34 arcminutes. We use the tropical zodiac and Placidus houses. Your child's time zone is set from their birthplace and birth date using a historical time zone database.
The text is assembled by our software from a library of interpretations written for Esotorium, addressed to you and matched to your child's placements. Every module for this report was written and checked against an additional set of rules beyond our usual ones: no diagnoses or medical language, no predictions of who your child will become, and no ranking your child's abilities against other children's.
How we calculate, in detailDelivery
Your report arrives as a PDF by email within 24 hours of payment; most reports arrive much sooner. The email contains a download link that works for 7 days. If your report has not arrived within 24 hours, check your spam folder, then write to hello@esotorium.com. We reply within 24 hours.
If something goes wrong, you get your money back
We refund in full if you write to us within 14 days of your order and:
- the calculation in the report does not match your child's birth details;
- the report did not arrive within 24 hours;
- you entered the birth details incorrectly (we rebuild the report once for free, or refund you if you prefer);
- the file is damaged and we cannot fix it.
We do not refund because you disagree with the interpretation: it is a reading, not a fact about your child.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a medical or psychological assessment of my child?
No. It does not diagnose anything, and it does not predict who your child will become. It is a warm, symbolic reading for reflection and entertainment, based on your child's birth details, and it says so on its own last page. If you have a real question about your child's health or development, please talk to your pediatrician or another qualified professional.
I don't know my child's exact birth time. Can I still order?
Yes. Tick "I don't know the birth time" and we calculate the chart for noon. Houses need an exact time, so the Moon's house note in "Rhythm and Sleep" is left out and the report is a little shorter (about a page), but every other section is unaffected. Find the exact time later and write to us within 30 days of purchase; we rebuild the report for free.
Can I buy this as a gift, and will it say who bought it?
Yes, that's exactly what it's for. The report is addressed to whoever reads it, the way a card would be, not to the child, and your child's name goes on the cover, not the buyer's. If you're buying it for someone else's child, enter the child's birth details and your own email; the PDF comes to you to forward or print, for instance for a birth or christening gift.
What age is this for? Is there an age limit?
It's written for parents and grandparents of babies and young children, most often bought around a birth or christening. There's no strict cut-off, but the report assumes your child can't yet read it for themselves, which is the whole point: it speaks to you about them, not to them about themselves.
Will my child be able to read this? Is it written to them or about them?
It is written about your child, addressed to you, the adult reading it. Every page speaks to "you" as the parent and refers to your child in the third person, by name. It is not written for a child to read about themselves, now or later, and we would not recommend handing it to them as a label.
How is this different from your adult Natal Blueprint report?
Same precise calculation, different text. The adult report speaks to you about you, covers a year ahead, and runs to about 35 pages. This one speaks to you about your child, stays with what applies today, and is shorter (17 to 19 pages) with a stricter frame: no diagnoses, no predictions of who your child will become, and no ranking against other children.
What format is the report?
A PDF of 17 to 19 pages, US Letter size, of which the last two are the full disclaimer. It opens on a phone, tablet or computer, and the text is set large enough to read on a phone without zooming. You can also print it, for instance to keep with a birth certificate or baby book.
Is my child's birth data safe?
We use it only to calculate and deliver the report. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers or use it to target ads, and we delete it 12 months after the order, or sooner if you ask. Details are in our Privacy page.
